One Week Remaining

Today begins the fourth and final week of fall practice. Double-headers this afternoon and on Thursday will conclude the regular season. At this time, each team will have played 16 games. A championship round will begin on Friday based on the final regular season records and point standings. The 3rd place team will play the 2nd place team in a 7-inning game on Friday and the winner of that game will play the 1st place team in a 7-inning game on Saturday. The championship game will precede the Tom Purcell Classic Alumni Game beginning at 8 am.

Team 3 has some work to do and will be playing in all four of the remaining games. Team 1 can clinch the top-seed and a spot in Saturday’s Fall Championship Game with a win against Team 3 in either today’s game or in Thursday’s double-header. A Team 2 loss today will knock them out of contention for the top-seed. If Team 3 wins their final four games, then they would earn a spot in Saturday's Championship Game. That was a lot to say but the good thing is that it will all be settled on the field starting this afternoon.
