Double Header Sweep

Game 1 saw the Cardinals victorious over the Millikin Big Blue by a score of 6-4. Mike Kloss earned yet another win going all 9 today. There were a host of Cardinals that helped contribute by putting runs up on the board including Joe Turek who homered yet again.

Game 2 was an 11-3 win and once again it was a cumulative effort by everyone to end the day on a high note. Joe Heller, Danny Scott, Matt Abraham, and Steve Hlavac all had good days at the plate. Also, Nate Arenson did a great job out of the bullpen to positively contribute in game 2.

We did a lot of good things today in every aspect and its tough to name everyone so I'm sorry if I left anybody out. It was just a 'great day to be a Cardinal' I guess.

This marks the first time all year that we have won 2 games in a row. If we complete the sweep tomorrow against Millikin that's called a WINNING STREAK and this would be a great time to start getting hot.
