The Cure for the Summertime Blues

Typically during the summer months, college campuses are ghost towns and Lake Erie College is no different. Sure, there are administrators going through their day-to-day routines, getting caught up on TPS reports, and preparing for the upcoming academic year, but overall, you will be hard-pressed to find vary many athletes walking around the Osborne Center. If you are, however, looking to find Lake Erie students this summer, a good place to start would be a baseball field. Each of the Storm returners are busy honing their skills in various wood bat summer leagues throughout the country.

Here's a look at just a few of the Storm players, starting with the Great Lakes League. Stay tuned for more updates on other summer league featuring Storm players.

Garrett Emling (@GarrettEmling), Stark County Terriers - Garrett is hitting .298 this summer with 11 runs scored and 13 driven in. Garrett has added seven extra base hits, leading the team in triples with two and ranks fourth in doubles with five.
